On October 2, the nature management plan for a specially protected nature territory "Lower reaches of Pededze" is approved by the order No. 605 of the Ministry of the Environment.

The nature management plan of Lower Reaches of Pededze has been approved

On October 2, the nature management plan for a specially protected nature territory "Lower reaches of Pededze" is approved by the order No. 605 of the Ministry of the Environment. According to the status, the territory is a nature reserve, the site of Natura 2000 and is a part of the RAMSAR wetland of the international importance "Lubana Wetland Complex".

The development of the plan was managed by Ieva Rove from the Latvian Fund for Nature. The work was performed within the framework of a larger project "Restoration of Latvian floodplains for EU priority species and habitats" supported by LIFE-Nature program.
